Have you ordered your Universal Tick Test?

If so, follow these next 2 steps in our submission process.

1. Complete an online Tick Submission Form.

2. Send in your tick using our Tick Submission Guidelines (described below).

A. Secure each tick (dead or alive) in a Ziploc bag. Keep the body intact. Place a slightly dampened cotton ball or piece of paper towel/napkin (~ 1 in x 1 in) in the bag with the tick (do not wrap the tick). This will help preserve the tick for identification purposes. If the tick is alive, great! Double-bag it for added security.

B. Write your name and order number on the envelope/bag/or piece of paper. USPS is preferred. We have received both First-Class and Priority mail. 
DO NOT: Use UPS- UPS is not reliable and unable to provide adequate customer service for delivery.

DO NOT: send certified (or signature required) mail as we use a mail box.                                          
DO NOT: use tape to secure the tick.

DO NOT: send medium or large size boxes.

DO: write your order # or name/email address/phone # on the bag or include in the envelope.

DO: send your specimen in a padded, cardboard or reinforced envelope

DO: transfer your specimen(s) to individual Ziploc bag(s) (rather than a container).

DO: track your envelope when possible

DO: add more postage if the envelope exceeds ΒΌ inch thickness

Multiple ticks?

Scenario 1: Tick bites from single person: Up to 4 ticks can be combined in a single test. Place each tick in a separate baggie so that we recover them all. Order 1 tick test at checkout (QTY. 1).

Scenario 2: Tick bites from different people: Place each tick in a separate baggie and label each bag with a unique identifier such as "Jane" and "John" or "A" and "B". Order the appropriate number of tests needed (QTY. >1).

**Adjust postage for the additional weight.
